   Nutri-cal

Nutri-Cal is sometimes recommended if you need to put weight on a chin, injured kits, or any chin who is not eating and is losing weight. However, I think there are other supplements that work better, as this is not specifically made for a herbivores diet. Some other options would be Critical Care, Lifeline or Dyne.

If you have to feed Nutri-cal, offer a tiny drop to your chin on a tongue depressor (popsicle stick) and let your chin lick it off on its own. Never try to force feed anything to your chinchillas as it could easily make them choke. If your animal is not eating and losing weight, always take it to the vet, as not eating is usually a sign of more serious illnesses.
